Results of the BCBC Specialty Show
August 11, 2001 (Victoria, BC)
Judge: Patricia Miller
"I found the overall quality at this specialty show VERY high. Overall type and quality impressive. I was also impressed with the good sportsmanship observed at all levels of competition. To be commended! I see so many beagles elsewhere that are quite upright in their upper arm and therefore have a tendency to toe in on the move. I found the rear extension was balanced in most instances with the front. Many very nice toplines and very attractive and balanced heads. My regrets? None other than I wish it was allowed to give more Awards of Merit! There were at LEAST four others that I would have like to have given this special commendation. " ~ Patricia Miller ~

"This bitch is absolutely lovely. She has lovely movement; strong purposeful and stays on the ground. Lovely carriage and presentation on the side. Sound on the come and go. She had some strong competition from two other bitch specials, but won on her overall balance and lovely breed type." ~ Pat Miller ~

Can. Ch. Laponderosa's Road To Lenwin
Breeder: Derrick Laponder
Owner: Estelle Laponder
Handler: Sandy Bryce
"This was a hard won victory as there were some dazzling youngsters to beat for all the above wins. I was much impressed that this veteran maintained his shape and movement as a more mature beagle. His movement was SOUND on the come and go and balanced on the go around. A very nice dog!" ~Pat Miller~
